Volunteers are a vital part of what makes the Lake County Code Blue protocol such a unique collaboration. With your support, we can help Lake County's unsheltered homeless population make it through the coldest winter days & nights. If you are interested in volunteering or learning more about what you can do to help, please fill out the Volunteer Application found below. A member of our team will connect you with the information you need.

For example, here a few needs that we have identified:
  • Recruiting volunteers so that shelters can adequately staff their safe haven warming centers
    • Schedules/shifts, etc. to be determined in January
    • All shelter volunteers are subject to a thorough background check before entering safe haven premises
  • Donating supplies such as hats, coats, gloves, sleeping bags, etc.
  • Providing laundry services so that cot covers, blankets, etc. can be washed each day
  • Providing nourishment such as cereal, milk, snacks and hot/cold beverages, so that shelters & churches can supply guests with a basic meal
